Family Camping Trip

I would like to get some input on a Family camping Trip. I think it would be fun to get to know each others families....Most of us have kids, so I thought it would be fun to invite everyone and their families on one big camping trip. This will take some planning and it is getting hot quick, so let's see if we can come up with a date and get a camping area reserved and just go for it. Let me know what you think by the end of this week...which will be June 27.

The ONLY Way We Get Better

Romans 8:38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love...

What an awesome statement. I just could not keep my mind off of this after Sunday's sermon. I truly believe this. God will never forsake us. He loves us more than anything. We all have kids and know that we would lay down our lives for them, so it makes perfect sense that God loves us so much. Just like we forgive our children for things they may do that are not pleasing, so does the Lord. And, just like our children, we try to be pleasing to the Lord, but we fail sometimes and he forgives us and loves us anyway.

Don't forget the Bottom Line: The only people who get better are the people who know that if they never get better, God still loves them anyway.

Hope you all are having a great Monday...don't forget to pray for each other and let's try to get together soon for a camp out or something. :)

Special Delivery

You are my hiding place, you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7

I have my dry cleaning delivered to my home. I can order pizza to arrive at my door within 20 minutes. But there is nothing I can do to deliver myself from the trouble that plagues me today. I have tried. I have prayed for you to give me the strength to do it on my own, when all along I needed the protection of Your strength.

It is not easy for me to ask for comfort and help. I am stubborn and human and often conflicted with a false sense of control. Pare away these excuses, Lord. I am in great need, and only You can deliver me. Amen~

Chasing Fears

Verse....
So do not worry saying "what shall we eat?" or "what shall we drink?" or "what shall we wear?" For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them. But, seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33

Prayer...

It is futile to chase after fear, for fear leaves in its wake a very new path of problems. The people I want to guarantee me security are only people. Their promises do not mean anything to me and my eternal future. I will not wast my time, my day, my evening in pursuit of unnecessary concerns. I need not glance around nervously, anticipating the next problem. You assure me that I need only to look at You and Your kingdom. Here true needs are recognized, and they are filled, satisfied by Your grace. Amen~

Quote of the Day

"Don't worry that children never listen to you. Worry that they are always watching you."

Shine

Verse
Restore us, O Lord God Almighty, make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved. Psalm 80:19

Prayer
Some days are harder than others. I need Your strength today. I need to feel your presence. Lead me back to this place. I know that through your promise comes renewal and wholeness. Don't let me forget that. Don't let me forget where I came from and who brought me here. Thank you Lord for loving me. Amen~
